Point A.5
Too often, we can find ourselves coasting through life on autopilot, running on our unconscious programming, completely unaware of what is going on in our immediate surroundings. We can be so focused on getting from point A to point B that we forget about all of the wonderful things that are in between.
When did you last pause to watch the light dance across the surface of the lake and the last of the ripples lay itself to rest and become at one with the water after the fish breaks its’ surface?
Every moment brings with it an opportunity for observation and deep introspection when we learn to live in the present moment.
In the present moment, everything becomes the subject of the utmost interest. You learn to look at the entire scene as a picture, and then you begin to notice the infinite number of pictures within the picture.
When you learn to freeze time, you open your eyes to the eternal. With each new day that passes, we might learn to interpret the same moment with new concepts and ideas.
Nothing that we see can be taken at face value, just as no moment is as it seems upon initial thought.
Thought requires time to develop and evolve and, only when we slow down, become attuned to the present moment, break the self-applied chains that have kept us bound for so long, and step outside of the matrix, do we allow for these thoughts to develop and our inner gardens to, therefore, flourish.
