Get Out of Your Own Way
You have got to get out of your own way. There is nothing preventing you from achieving your dreams. You are the only one doing that.
Can’t you see that the only limits you have are your own? Everything that is holding you back has been invented by your own mind. Understand this and you can develop the skills to undo them.
These beliefs and limits might have been inherited by the generation that stood before you, and by the peers who walked beside you. This is no excuse. They are yours now. You must own them. You chose to adopt them so that you could know how it feels to break them.
There comes a point in our lives when we must realise that we are not little boys anymore. We are men, and with that comes a responsibility to become the highest versions of ourselves.
That means that, as we continue to seek our highest selves, just like the weeds in a garden, there will inevitably be parts of ourselves that must be stripped back and cut loose.
It is common for a human to become addicted to suffering, so much so that they create it within themselves. I know that this is true because I have created plenty of my own suffering in my adult life. The chemicals can become addictive.
If we want to live a life in peace, balance, and harmony then we need to identify where within our own lives we are causing ourselves to suffer.
Once we have done this, then we undergo the work required to end this suffering. That means that these extinct parts of us must be killed as we continue to make room for new growth to emerge.
Life is far too challenging for us to be carrying our dead weight around any longer and creating emotional pain and distress within ourselves.
